Sound familiar?

You've tried the quick fixes. The pain keeps coming back.

These are the stories we hear every week at our Brampton clinic.

Lower back

The driver's-seat shuffle

Stuck in traffic on the 410, you keep shifting in your seat trying to find the one position where your lower back stops aching.

Neck & headaches

The 3 p.m. headache

Hours looking down at a screen, and by mid-afternoon your neck is stiff and a headache is creeping up from the base of your skull.

Sciatica

The leg that won't settle

A burning, shooting pain travels from your lower back down one leg. Sitting makes it worse, and standing up takes a moment.

Shoulder

That sharp pain that never fully goes

Reaching, lifting or sleeping on that side still hurts. It settles for a while, then flares up again.

Knee

"I left my phone in the kitchen…"

On your feet all day, you finally sit down, and your knees are too sore to get back up.

Sports injury

"It'll get better on its own"

You tweaked it weeks ago and kept playing through it. Now every game ends with ice, and it's not getting better.

Here's the truth: new chairs, pillows, painkillers and stretches only ease the symptom. The pain keeps coming back because the cause was never assessed. That's the first thing we do.

Questions

Good to know before you book.

What happens after I fill in the form?
Our Brampton team calls you, answers any questions, checks your benefits if you'd like, and books a time that works for you. No obligation.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. In Ontario you can book a physiotherapist or chiropractor directly. Some insurance plans ask for a referral for reimbursement, so it's worth checking your benefits booklet.
Will my insurance cover it?
Many extended health plans cover physiotherapy and chiropractic care. We offer direct billing: bring your benefits card to your first visit and we'll confirm whether we can bill your insurer directly.
Physio or chiro: which one do I need?
You don't have to decide. Either clinician can assess you and recommend the right approach, and because they work together, many patients benefit from both.
Do chiropractic adjustments involve "cracking"?
Not unless you want them to. Besides manual adjustments, we offer drop-table adjustments and the low-force Activator Methods® instrument, which don't involve twisting or cracking.
What happens at my first visit?
We start by listening to your history, then do a physical assessment and explain in plain language what's causing your pain and how long recovery should take. In most cases treatment starts the same day, and you leave with home exercises.
